Three knockout rounds against tougher and tougher teams. Win a cup to unlock new gear for your player.
Learn one skill at a time. A coach feeds you the balls — every lesson takes a minute or two.
Three touches per side. Your team may play the ball up to three times — usually bump → set → spike — and the third touch has to send it over. The dots under the scoreboard count them.
No double touches. You can't play the ball twice in a row — a teammate has to touch it in between. A block doesn't count as a touch.
Over the net, inside the antennas. The ball has to cross above the net and between the two striped antennas.
Press early. An action is armed the moment you press it and the contact happens on its own at the sweet spot. Better timing, better touch.
Every rally scores. The ball lands in the other court: your point. It lands in yours: their point.
Faults. Send it out, into an antenna or under the net and the other team scores. A ball touching the line is in.
Win the rally, serve next. The ball icon on the scoreboard shows which team serves.
Sets. A set goes to 11 or 15 points (pick Length in the menu) and has to be won by two. Best of 3 needs two sets.
Rotate on a side-out. When your team wins the serve back, everyone moves one spot clockwise and the player reaching position 1 (right back) serves. The mini court at the top left shows your spot.
Back row (6v6). The three players at the back may not block, and spike only after jumping from behind the 3 m line. They pass, dig and set; the front row attacks at the net.
Every set starts from the starting line-up, and the teams take turns to serve first. On the beach the two players keep their sides and simply take turns to serve.
Landing ring — where the ball comes down. Yellow and pulsing: your ball, go! Blue: a teammate's. White: their side. Red ×: it's going out, let it go. The outer ring shrinks as the ball gets close.
Pink crosshair — your aim. Serves, spikes and balls you send over go there. Move the mouse sideways to turn it, up and down for depth.Push the right stick sideways to turn it, up and down for depth.Drag on the right side of the screen: sideways to turn it, up and down for depth. With Smart aim on it picks an open spot until you drag.
Yellow arrow — where your set goes when you are the setter. Steer it with the mousewith the right stickby dragging.
Ring around the ball — it is in reach right now. White → yellow → green means a cleaner contact.
Hint and keys — the bubble at the bottom says when a ball is yours and what to press. The keys at the bottom right light up when their action is possible.
Hint and buttons — the bubble at the bottom says when a ball is yours and which button to press. The buttons at the bottom right light up when their action is possible.
Hint and buttons — the bubble at the bottom says when a ball is yours and what to tap. The buttons change their label to what they do right now and fade when they can't be used.
The buttons change with the situation: the pink one serves, bumps on the ground and spikes in the air, the gold one sets or tips, the white one blocks near the net and dives anywhere else. Auto-move runs you to your ball when you let go of the stick — turn it off in Settings to do all the footwork yourself.
The same button does different things: left click bumps on the ground but spikes in the air, F sets on the ground but tips in the air, and right click blocks near the net but dives anywhere else.
The same button does different things: A bumps on the ground but spikes in the air, X sets on the ground but tips in the air, and B blocks near the net but dives anywhere else. In the menus the d-pad or left stick moves, A picks and B goes back.
